Water Stream, a Metaphor of Life
Looking at the ordinary can reveal so much about living. Water streams around rocks reveal passages of life, of experience. At times the surface of things are calm revealing a much deeper reality. The stream can get pinched between narrows that cause the flow to slip by beyond our control. Ripples make the surface of things diffucult to discern. Life is much like the flow of a stream around rocks. Depending how the stream is structured can determine the reality of the situation. In all instances there is a beauty about it. My paintings are about the revelation of the beauty in the ordinary.
